It will probably sadly end being some type of housing just compressing the amount of people and parking in the area. would be nice some sort of play area or recreational as Folkestone road certainly needs something like that.

I certainly agree with you on this level ... with the building back to life as a childrencentre for different age groups would be brilliant too and surround it by a play park :D and something for the seniors too :) I got a perfect picture in my mind ... sadthing is .. not going to happen unless I win lottery overnight :D thats the first thing i would do ... LOL
Daydreaming again ;)

This was all said and acted on some years ago when I was a town cllr for that area funds were put in place to do just what you are asking for, but that fund got used in a way by the council which should not have happen all history now and to late to act on again.

Up close it just looks like an unofficial wildlife reserve.

it does Howard... and Vic on this subject I disagree as its never too late....
In Germany the town didnt had funds to rebuild the Frauenkirche in Dresden. This actually was funded by the puplic from near and far. Thats why its rebuild and took so long as well as it was a special project. It was a multimillion object done by professionals on a voluntary basis, which took over 10 years. In the end it was all worth it.
All depends, On how to manage these things. So No I dont agree.....

A multipurpose day centre / children's centre would be a boon for the area. Would help with the community and be able to integrate with a development if its owned by a developer. Would probably have to approach the developer and/or council?

Sorry but it will go as flats like the rest of the road and yes it is to late. Having lived and work in Germany with a family what happens over there would not happen in Dover .They look after their parish a lot of it done unpaid because that is their way of life ,we have groups unpaid in Dover doing great work but not in the same way. Where I lived in Germany they would clean outside their own homes paths etc phone boxs and grave yards the week end fire service was done by locals unpaid the list goes on and on+ they had to look after me

Two years on from the diggers clearing the site of trees and wildlife including Badger setts everything seems to be growing back so no real point to clearing it in the first place.
