good to hear that judith i was beginning to think i was the only one excited about the music festival next summer.
i sincerely hope that all dovorians get behind the people that are putting us on the map rather than on the dual carriageway to the port.

I heartily agree, Howard. I love live music and I think the festival could be very successful with the right publicity. Dover is rather disadvantaged by being right at the edge of the country.

Judith, we're turning that to our advantage and have a 'cultural ambassador' promoting the festival on the other side of the channel.
The headline act for Saturday night in the Town Hall has also now been announced on the website (post #1) and there's a whole variety of music genres being planned elsewhere.

Excellent Ray. I see you are on the committee. I have lots of admiration for the committee for bringing such an ambitious project to the town. Please post on here when tickets go on sale so we can make sure we get ours.

We're hoping that with
Brendan Power at Crabble on Friday and Paul Jones Blues Band in the Town Hall on Saturday it will be a harmonica-fest to attract people from all over the country.
Plans are in place for a ticketing announcement soon.

Thanks for the bump Howard, there's a couple of other acts on the Facebook page that haven't reached the website yet, and lots more in the pipeline.

As someone relatively new to Dover I must say I have been very impressed with the talent within the area.
The organisers i have spoken with are all extremely enthusiastic and all looks good for a successful festival.
We should all use whatever medium we can to push this - it will be really good for the area!
