I may have to try patchwork, Kath, to repair all my old socks, especially since 5 pairs of wholesome socks disappeared from the line a few weeks back.

obviously a well used village hall, i can remember the bunting for the olympics being made up there, pumpkin competitions , exhibitions and now the latest one. even in the 21st century there is still a place where people can actually get together have aa cup of tea a natter and do something useful.

tilmanstone is a good role model.

Actually I would have come along, Kath.
The only D to appear once on my school report was in needlework.
But a fairly extensive work contract means I'm staying put in Dover for now.

Once I did try knitting and got told off after attempting to add a few stitches to a jumper my mum was creating.

Yes, we have a lovely village hall, well tended by the committee. Had a big makeover 2 years ago, new floor, disabled toilets, new heating (excellent), new kitchen cooker, sink, heater, baby changing facilities, disabled facilities, crockery, cutlery etc. New tables and padded chairs ! And very reasonable to hire. The hall is very popular for children's parties as there is a side entrance directly into the playing field (well equipped), nowhere near the road.

If you'd like some of the fabrics there, Kath, I'll get Michelle to bring some along, together with details of some workshops she's running.

Tea/coffee provided throughout the day. Bring your own lunch

Some of The Fabric Fairy's recent fabrics will be there as well, with Michelle Cooper who will be demonstrating some seasonal projects that can be done in her workshops later in the month.

Thank you to Andy and Michelle for your support, it was a good day, pity there were not more people to take advantage of all the craft tuition etc. on offer. Some of us made unusual hangings from beach stones with holes in (to keep witches away), shells, beads and pieces of driftwood, great fun:

Really enjoyable atmosphere there on Saturday, Michelle loved it (and it gave her the opportunity for a good natter with Ann Hooper!). Thanks for putting it on Kath, well done.
