The mayor of New York closed the subway schools etc and made it illegal to go out in a car because of the threatened one metre of snow. Turned out to be a light sprinkling.

I have just come down from Ashford and it,s getting bad. I lad on a motorbike two cars in front of me come off. Lucky we was all going slow because of the snow. Lucky I have Orange beacons on my van put them on to stop the traffic and help the Lad.
He was ok apart from his eago and a small dent on his bike. Thanks to the driver behind me who stopped the traffic coming up the hard shoulder.

Could have been a lot worse for the youngster but for Stu and the other driver keeping cool heads in a nasty situation.

Heavy snow predicted overnight tonight - and I'm supposed to be driving to Canterbury in the morning! If the usual happens, I'll have a job getting off the estate.

Large flakes falling but not settling, the BBC forecast is that we will wake up to a very light covering of snow tomorrow.
Hopefully they are right.

No snow at the moment and I hope there is none as my son-in-law is working nights in the wide open spaces, much to his disgust as he has been frozen the last few nights.

Apparently it has settled in Capel, they always get the worst of it. Must remember to put out fresh water in the morning for the birds.

I have had to break the ice on my birdbath several times lately, the birds are drinking from it but not bathing and who can blame them.

I normally pour hot water on the glass containers after my first cup of tea of the day, letting the water cool down enough so the glass doesn't crack.

Left London on the train at 6.37pm, no snow there all day and none on the way back to Dover only rain at the moment.

No snow but a bright very cold morning that didn't stop a parking warden ticketing a car across the road to me that had its back wheels on double yellow lines.

Things running normally in town, once again we have avoided the snow. Saw a few cars with snow on the roof so it must have settled somewhere.
