Party Time!

Onwards and upwards, the party threadmill moves on to Cullin's Yard where PaulB, editor of all he surveys, was out celebrating his 39th Birthday..again. Yes 39, where the clock stops once and for all. It doesnt go back alas but it never goes forward either! Although the evening started out with the intention of having a quiet family dinner, one ran into allsorts of cronies at Cullin's Yard...as the band played on into the dreamy Dover night.
The Pictures; Left. Saskia Wadsworth-Smith and Briony Boland getting into the early swing of things at the start of the evening. Right. Barry Wadsworth-Smith, Colette Boland, Paul Boland and Mary Graham all letting their hair down under the wild jazz influence, and the influence of the house white and the ruby red!

Also out on the town but under a different quise was lovely Suzanne Robinson of CMS Recruitment, Suzanne was of course naturally delighted to be able to give birthday boy a massive hug for the grand occasion. The picture on the right shows local camera ace Phil Medgett, who had also been lurking in Cullin's Yard, performing a strange African ritual while PaulB gets his picture taken with a cake with one miserable candle. Its funny, when you get to a certain age your friends give up putting candles on yer cake! They clearly abandon hope!

And last but decidedly not least, the sexy Madeleine Spain of CMS Recruitment gets in the party spirit, while PaulB enjoys the female attention once again. Sigh! such committment. All this frollicking about shouldnt be alowed so it shouldnt!

Cllr Sue Nicholas at BEER FESTIVAL: Yes indeed the impecabbly turned out Sue Nicholas was in there supping with the best of them on the saturday of the Crabble Corn Mill Beer Festival. What dark brew slumbers there in that deep flagon clutched in her left hand? Well it is hard to tell, but no doubt it was one of those very exotic offerings that make these Beer Festivals such a constant delight.

Our 'roving man on the spot' Phil Eyden, Fab Forumite and all round star, took this excellent picture. Well done Phil...nice one indeed!

The Old Cronies Club

Yes a few of the old cronies of long standing gathered in Blakes on saturday(26May) to see Jeane, our resident psychic, who had just popped down from darkest Essex. Jeane was celebrating her latest feature in the Focus magazine, which is distributed as part of The Dover Mercury. The story was written by Mary Graham and is an excellent and rewarding double page spread item, with lots of good pictures, all a must for Jeane fans.

And speaking of pictures..Ive used my picture above fairly large, probably too large, so that I can show the dazzling good looks of the species gathered. What an array of talent! I'm overwhelmed..nay, nay, overcome, yes overcome is a better description!

We lingered for a few hours and had a few drinks and some good food and all was delightful.

Yours truly is not in the shot as someone had to take the picture. Peeping through in the background is Peter the Proprietor, Blakes.
