Vicar downs pint in 8 seconds!

No I wont say it..ah yes I will, The Vicar of Dribley..there, its out of the way. Seriously though this Vicar never dribbled nor spilt a drop when he downed a pint in 8 seconds for charity at the fantastic Crabble Corn Mill Beer Festival. Some feat and he did it with ease. He is of course the new Vicar of River, none other than the Rev Andy Bawtree. Nice one Andy. Now captured on camera forever. Singer BuddyG counts the seconds.

On the left here we have Trevor Bond, genial sales manager at the fab Ramada Hotel, enjoying a beer or two with Jean and Roger Walkden. Roger is currently going great guns on the revived Dover Loyalty Scheme. Pic on the right shows legendary Croc of the Dour, yes its Ian Lillford himself, doing a spot of bar duty and always with a ready smile. I'll have a pint of Double Vision young man!

BuddyG mobbed by fans both before and after his excellent performance..wow Rock n Roll!! On the right Town Councillor David Hannent, who has the busiest schedule imagineable, relaxes with a pint by the cool river.

Town Clerk, and all round man about town, Mike Webb, enjoying a beer and fag break under the canvas in the rambling river gardens. Joining him in style is mensoutfitter extraordinaire, Peter Drew of Phillips and Drew.

The pictures above were taken on the sponsors and media evening. The doors open for real on Friday 25th May at 3pm. Really well worth a visit..you can enjoy a fantastic range of Beers in good company and in the tranquil and leafy River surrounds of a real Mill on a Stream.
