More and more it seems like Germany or to be more precise Mrs Merkel, she is quoted as saying that if Dave brings in different rules for migrants then the UK would be cut adrift from the EU. She is not even an MEP let alone being in a powerful position in Brussels.

Much as I agree Brian it is not in her power to decide who leaves the EU - the European Commission and the European Parliament hold sway.
Just a matter of being patient and waiting for Dave to cave in.

Remember Merkel is an old east European communist at hart ,the expansions and enrichment of eastern Europe is in the germens business interest, as the Germans have an industrial manufacturing, economy that needs new customers and cheap workers
But her fellow Germans may not be so happy with the cheap workers competition bringing Down wages ,
bring forth the German ukip party .

To late for that now Keith, wages have been plummeting in many jobs in Germany, they do have an anti EU party but made up of very different types than UKIP.
