  on the question of membership
  
  in normal circumstances your correct no one would be interested who is/is not a member
  
  but this poster has both stood for UKIP then stood against them
  
  so those wishing to vote UKIP would want to know they are voting for a true UKIP person
  not one that stands in his own interests
  and worse stands against the ukip party.
  im sure UKIP has a policy on such issues and he wouldnt be able to stand for ukip in the future
