  Fact is, some countries in central Eastern Europe operate active and systematic discrimination against the Romany who are citizens of these same countries and have been for centuries.
  Romany there do not have equal opportunity to work, they are often encouraged to emigrate and at times are given free tickets to a Western country in return for forfeiting their and their family's right to receiving social welfare of any kind.
  
  This is why so many Czech and Slovak citizens seek asylum in Canada, or are even considered as refugees in Britain.
  Many are effectively refugees.
  
  The "Romany problem", did that come from Mein Kampf?
  
  What are EU citizens doing seeking asylum in Canada?
  Many have been granted asylum there in recent years because they have been recognised by the Canadian authorities as victims of racist discrimination in the EU.
  
  This is downright unjust!
  And I'm wondering how many Romany will be squeezed out of their homeland in Central Europe by the authorities there as the economic recession worsens.
