Even that I am a member of UKIP I cannot agree on this one and the Dover club should say thank you but no thanks that should be said to all party. fans will stay away from this match over this,If there are reds and blues supporters
in the club they will not go or it will look like they support UKIP wrong move this one and it should not go ahead.I will not be going.

Fully agree football clubs should distance themselves from political parties, many supporters will be put off by this sponsorship.

Surely if fans stay away simply because they disapprove of a sponsor it means they are not true fans.

I doubt it will stop people attending a game but will leave a nasty taste for many.
At least 3 of our local candidates have connected themselves with the football team but sponsorship is a step too far in my view.

Many years ago there was a Saturday night programme called "Tarbie and friends" featuring the hilarious scouser.
It went on to become the Royal Variety Show.
Spitting Image had Prince Philip saying to the Queen "who are these idiots?" the Queen comes back with "Tarbie and friends" to which the prince replied "wouldn't have thought he had any".

In the spirit of the season I can only add " Oh yes he is, Oh no he isn't".

Things have taken an unpleasant turn with Charlie up in arms and Jim Parmenter following suit.
Best comment from my local councillor though.

A lot of fuss about nothing if David's fellow hopefuls are unhappy they could always sponsor some matches to even things up.
