Not provocative at all the statue is not to go on Argentine land.
If the Falklanders want the statue I can see nothing wrong after all it was the British forces instigated by Mrs Thatcher that saved them from being taken over by the Argentinians who chose to invade the Islands.

The timing on this is all wrong, there was the Clarkson tasteless prank shown over Christmas and Cruise ships are sometimes missing out the Falklands because of the reception they get when calling at Argentinian ports. The local economy is heavily dependent on the cruise passengers coming ashore and this statue is likely to mean that cruise companies will give the Falklands a miss in future.
