I suspect the Tories will get a decent majority in the house however given the spread of the vote last week it does not need to be thus.
Tories & UKIP captured roughly 42% of the vote & Lab/Lib Dem/Greens about 45% with the balance going to regional parties etc.
Clearly if the Lib Dems & Labour could reconcile their differences and agree some sort of tactical voting/electoral pact they could prevent the Tories from romping away
Of course they won't do that and the country will be poorer for it as there wil be no effective opposition to the Tories other than the wet wing of the Conservative Party
