    It is generally accepted that Charlie will win irrespective of the candidate Labour put up but Gordon is a warhorse who can take anyone on in open debate, Charlie is aware of this and was worried about his majority being cut. If the party was looking to the future then credible people like Peter Wallace and John Heron would have gained experience during a campaign if they wanted to stand.

    Traditional Labour voters locally are being turned off by unsuitable candidates being put up twice in 3 years and though the constituency voted 2 to 1 to leave the EU our local Labour bigwigs knew better. In conclusion it seems that the Coombe Valley shop that is surrounded by rubbish with no interest shown by their representatives is purely there for the hierarchy to lord it over their subjects not realising the contempt they are being held in.
