Should immigrants be allowed to vote in the EU referendum, would that not be a fix of the vote as they will all vote to stay in?

I don't think that most will necessarily vote to remain in the EU, commonwealth immigrants were against the free movement bringing in people from Eastern Europe. Then with supreme irony many Poles were complaining that if Romanians came in they would undercut them on wages.

Immigrants who are now UK citizens-yes.
Non-UK citizens: no.
Simples.

If the rules are the same as for General Elections then expatriates will have a vote.

Which is wrong unless they are working abroad on a temporary basis or just visiting, those who have left for 'the good life' should not have a vote in any UK election.

How do they allocate votes cast by people resident overseas? I can only think that it would be in the constituency where they were last on the electoral register.

They apply to the last Council where they were registered Howard. I thought it odd that non-UK citizens could vote in the Scottish referendum.
