  Sadly many of the followers of Islam now believe it is the only religion and this means that they cannot assimilate fully into secular society.
  
  When I lived in Ilford we had large Hindu/Sikh, Jewish(orthodox and progressive), Muslims and others and overall things worked on a day to day basis. The main problem was with things like planning permission where they were never denied anything, a great example was building a mosque with a capacity of over five hundred with only a few parking spaces which meant clogged residential streets most days of the week. Other religions seem to fit in Ok and don't feel the need to force their ways upon others.
