  Mrs Merkel's eyes lit up when she saw the Syrians with seemingly limitless funds wanting to enter the country. Looks plain to see that they are well educated and great fodder for the work market with the shortage of skilled labour locally and will keep wages down. The problem is she didn't think about the infrastructure to handle the situation and also the fact people from other countries that don't seem very wealthy have joined in the exodus. At the moment they are being housed in sports centres, disused warehouses etc. The Syrians will not put up with that for the long they are used to the good life back, unlike the poorer ones stuck in the refugee camps.
