I gave up watching Question Time a couple of years ago so did not see last night's effort.
I must say I like the remark from Louise Bours, " it illustrates that footballers' brains are in their feet."
As for this footballer what a plonker, having no interest in the game I assume he is well known on the field but to appear on a programme like Question Time I would expect to have heard of him prior to this article.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

I very rarely look in nowadays and usually switch off after about 10/15 minutes.
I tuned in yesterday when I saw the cast which was clearly all about entertainment rather than serious debate.
Joey Barton and the UKIP woman were appalling and David Willetts was clearly embarrassed by the antics of his fellow panellists.

Don't know what the fuss was all about. Probably the most entertaining QT for some time. Faux offense from the usual quarters following Barton's comments. His comment 'You won the election? You won seats in the European Parliament that nobody really cares about' was far more offensive but probably true.
Just another day in planet twitterartiland. Soon to be forgotten.
