Corbyn has grown into the role of opposition leader and now seems self assured and the bookies make Labour very slight favourites to win more seats than the Tories next time around. Nobody wants topple the Prime Minister as they want her to take the blame for the Brexit fiasco and then others can start to go for the top job. It is in Labour's interest to stay in opposition for another two years as more people turn 18 and most likely to vote for them while many Tory voters will be turning up their toes.

The decision of Labour to go for a transitional period where we stay in the Single Market and Customs Union will resonate with many including some that wouldn't normally vote for them. Today lifelong Tory Matthew Parris said that he is likely to vote Labour for the first time in his life purely because of their recent announcement.
