    Let's get some facts straight here for once.

    As the article says Boris was reacting to a comment by a Labour MP who said “Putin is going to use it in the way Hitler used the 1936 Olympics,”

    Boris replied - “I think that your characterisation of what is going to happen in Moscow, the World Cup, in all the venues – yes, I think the comparison with 1936 is certainly right. It is an emetic prospect of Putin glorying in this sporting event”

    N.B. Boris purposefully did NOT mention Hitler - though (of course) this is now firmly in the Left's alternative version of history along with Gove's 'had enough of experts' etc.
