    To quote the Justice Secretary we face "an unprecedented situation of severe gravity".

    This is not the Red Army Faction, the Bader Meinhof Group, the Angry Brigade or even the IRA (where Protestant and Catholic were used as a shorthand, the troubles having nothing at all to do with religious belief).

    It's a clash of civilization and a primitive belief system.

    Ignore it if you wish. Unfortunately it doesn't want to ignore you.
