Ok Dovers finest political debaters here a something a little different to get your teeth into.
The NHS Constitution Bill Of Rights.
Every patient has the legal right to complain about a service care provider, to have the complaint investigated, and receive a final response letter to the complaint. Without the final response letter a patient cannot access full services of the PHSO. A situation probably nobody has heard of before but what are you supposed to do as the complainant if the care provider has not produced a final response letter and won’t provide one? What can you do about it ?

This is a service that I have not yet approached whilst navigating the complaint process, main reason being that I felt my original complaint was presented adequately and I did not require help in making the complaint. My complaint is currently in the office of Charlie Elphicke. Would I still be ok to access the PALS service and do u know at all exactly the assistance their remit boundaries allow them to become involved? Also is there a contact point for them in Dover?
Many thanks for any advice by the way.

Canterbury is nearest Tel: 01227 783145, not sure of the extent of their remit but I'm sure a phone call will give you the answer. You can also complain through the ccg for the hospital Dovers is based at the council offices at Whitfield tel: 03000 424700.
You can also speak to complaints advocacy service at any time throughout the complaint process they are a national organisation.

I wonder how long this totally non political thread will remain here, in reverse it is normally done within the hour.

Since when was the NHS a non-political topic Howard?

Well it is not about Brexit or Corbyn or Charlie/May so it could not possibly be political.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

I’m sorry Howard if you feel I have posted on the wrong forum. As the NHS Constitution is the only Bill Of Rights made by the people, for the people, and serves the people, with restrictions defending the Bill from ministerial interference or alteration, I kind of thought that this was the ONLY topic with political bearing where the voice of the people may be heard.
I guess it must come down to grass roots education or something along those lines, which is also a political agenda by the way, if I have acted erroneously in your eyes, but many thankyou’s for advice I was provided and am already pursuing.
