#66 & #67 The £3 one-off payment was for supporters, i.e. a one-off opportunity to vote for a preferred leader of the Labour Party. These were not members and were not afforded membership rights. This was in fee decided on by Ed Miliband and brought into effect when he resigned as leader forcing the first leadership contest (in 2015).

The second leadership contest, in 2016, changed the fee from £3 to £25 for supporters - still no membership rights other than the singularly issue of a one-off leadership voting right.

Members have full rights and pay their subs either on an annual or monthly basis.
