Other than in London, Manchester and Birmingham I don't really see the point in having them as the public don 't seem that interested. In Tees Valley turnout was 21% I do wonder how much all this costs the taxpayer.

The one that really irritates me is the Police and Crime Commissioner. If the argument is that they are to set the policing priorities, we are in a very wrong place. The law is all you need, if you need to set priorities, then the service is vastly underfunded.
