Yes I think I am right on this one county and the Gen Election should be held at the same time with the holding of power go to 8 years not as it is today 5years. The cost of holding the Election is very high so by doing this it would cut it down by millions saving of public and party funds.
But as it is today as soon as a party gets in and try to turn things round like they all do the next election is on top of them before changes are in place or time to see if they work.
District Election are the same 8 years.
But we can do away with parish elections and only call one when a member packs up or dies.
Most parish councils are run by the same faces so why have elections in the first place again this would be a saving of public funds.

I believe if you have got a bad worker, you should have the right to sack him
If we have bad politicians we should have the rights to sack them.
We need to run the elections ever 3 years to keep them working hard
Electronic voting will reduce the price of elections.

Vic Matcham wrote:HAVE they not got any in the EU and they have and are we not in the EU so they do have members as MP
I'm not very up to date with modern technology and even had to disable the smart bit of my smartphone cos I couldn't work it, but this leaves me wondering if there is an app to convert Matchamspeak to Queen's English!

There is Ray, it's based on the not-very-popular Hansellapp that inserts random full stops and capital letters into one massive paragraph....

They are members of the parliament that over rule us all.
So they are MPs in their own right,

Talk about twist facts to suit a point of view.
As Brian says, UKIP are not MPs they sit in our British Parliament only to be found in London, they are MEPs who can only go and play with that foreign lot across the water.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

But we have moved miles away from why I started this one up.
So going back to the start I think 5 years in power is to short.
and there is no need to have parish election because about 90% of parishs are run by the same faces it does not matter who is in power and is costing us £millions to hold them if a member packs up or dies then yes vote a new one on .
But in most cases anyway a parish council is all ways short of members ,as you know that is how I got on four at the same time,
