Martin, the council elections only took place in some parts of England and small part of Northern Ireland. In Kent only Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone held elections with a council by election in Gravesend..With council elections, sometimes the local factor comes into play, ie whatever party or councillors, if local voters think the local council is not performing well. They get voted out.The E.U election is UK wide, Scotland, Wales, England, N.Ireland and of course, 27 countries of the E.U using the P.R. voting method. The results tomorrow night and Monday morning should be interesting particularly Scotland, Netherlands, France, Germany and of course England and Wales.
