    I actually agree with the comments in post 287

    As I have said before , if the local labour party , is concerned local members won't vote for the women , or indeed won't support them, then they need to take a long hard look at the party.

    Every candidate should be selected on merit , not because they are a man of woman.

    In the past best candidates were excluded and unknown , or unfavoured candidates put up instead that has affected results.
