    What he says is true generally speaking, it is about subduing the opposition at all cost through the use of the techniques and controlled aggression.
    A lot if not all techniques are about recognising the physics of the situation, i.e. kneeling on neck leaves arms and legs free and able to create a long lever to dislodge you where as kneeling in the middle of shoulder blades or centre back reduces the length of the levers. It also advocates the old bar fight technique of 'glass ashtray!'
    I would not call myself an expert but I did practice it and other martial arts for some years in the forces and for a time afterward. I think our military instructor was ex-IDF but may be mistaken, a lot of sleeps since.
