Interestingly, this year, when in the rest of the country the Conservatives faced a bit of a backlash, in spite of Dover being listed as a Labour target, Charlie Elphicke held it with an
increased
majority of 6,437.
Boundary changes bringing Sandwich in to the constituency should only make 'our' Charlie's position even safer though making Craig McKinley's even more marginal.
The idea of any of the local usual suspects making much of a dent in his vote is wishful thinking on Labour's part.
