Non stop posts on social media including here, newspapers full of it and TV news programmes the same yet the bookies are giving a prediction of a 68% turn out which, without checking thoroughly, is much the same as a General Election which has only a 4/5 week lead up to it. By my reckoning if comments made on the Interweb, people I speak to plus the average bloke in the pub were taken into account then it would be a walk over for the "Leave" fraternity, however the bookies are giving odds of about 3 to 1 on we vote to remain.
I would like to hear views on why we should stay together with the full benefits of being in but haven't met anyone with such information yet.

Howard you have raised a very good point.Instead of the usual scare stories, for the sake of democracy is there anyone, who will give the pro EU case? Are you listening Charlie, Clair, Peter Wallace?

The great proponent Sir Edward Heath was only able to make sneering comments about "little englanders" and "A seat at the top table" whatever that meant Peter so I am not holding out much hope for a sensible case to be put.
Cheaper holiday flights and mobile roaming charges were given in all seriousness, the first was debunked this afternoon by the Pro EU boss of Ryan air. Charlie did at least give a lengthy statement as to why he thinks it best too stay but even then it only related to one issue that would be easily solved if the need ever arose.

Had a brief look Bob and it had more holes than your string vest, just a few points to be going on with. He keeps referring to Norway who pay a lot of money to be in the EEA for access to the single market. Well they would, wouldn't they being a mass exporter to the EU while we are a nett importer. Nos 1 and 2 are simply wrong factually although he is right about the ECHR being separate from the EU we can leave and introduce our own bill of rights. Nos 3 and 4 are again simply wrong as we have no right to stop any EU citizen coming in when they fancy. No.5 is too simplistic a is closely linked with 4. No 6 is amusing because the EU will want to set up trade deals with us rather than the other way around. Does he really think the EU will want Scotland Northern Ireland and Wales?
Come back to the rest later - the things people will say to help sell a book.

Bob,I have read the link, you posted. My attention was drawn to the piece, which said EU had safeguarded European peace? No mention of Turkey and Greece conflict in Cyprus. No mention of the Balkan War in the 90s,Conflict in Northern Ireland and the ongoing conflict in the Crimea and Ukraine..The guy mainly said the EU needs reform but doesn't give a solution.

Reform is just a buzzword used by politicians when they haven't a clue about a solution to a problem. No 7 we have a seat on the UN security council despite of not because of being part of the EU. No 8 appears to suggest we are skint, does that the mean the EU will rally around to bail us out? No.9 is partly correct about imposing a moratorium on immigration then gives Germany as a shining example!!! No 10 partly answered by Rippers but as for working time directive - how about zero hours contracts?

Forget what I said earlier about "reform" I am hopelessly out of date. During the course of today Mr Corbyn, Alan "Judas" Johnson and Owen(up and coming) Jones have altered it to "change". By tonight it will be used by all the local Labour hierarchy once they have got back from Thanet of course.
Time for change was the Tony Blair mantra from 1997 surprised that they have not noticed it.

Where I think Dave and Charlie are going wrong in their efforts to get Conservative voters onside in the "remain" camp is their inability to get a celebrity endorsement from someone in tune with the young.
Can anyone think of one?

The out campaign is so slow and broken it will probably cost us the vote
The in campaign have all the guns blazing spewing out misinformation .
The one big ray of light is the EU disintegrating under the migrant and economic strain

Philip Davies Conservative, Shipley
I wholeheartedly agree with what my hon. Friend is saying. On TTIP, does he agree that the following is an interesting factor in any cost-benefit analysis? We are always told that if we want a free trade agreement with the EU, we will have to accept free movement of people. Does he think America will accept the free movement of people—of all EU citizens—into the United States when it signs its free trade agreement with the EU?
Philip Davies a proper Conservative MP that puts country before career.
