The NHS is not costly, certainly not too costly. It is a nonsense to bawl about the amount of money that is spent upon it without regard to it's accomplishments.
A great deal of expense and effort could be saved by us all being fed from a tube. If all there was to life was carping on about saving a penny here and there, being fed via manufactured and centrally controlled
mush
would be the order of the day.
It is no more than resentment at paying NI, but having others benefit, that drives the arguments. As if any consumer is sure to be benefiting from the VAT each has to stump up.
The background, the arguments and the policies and the Parliamentary Bills that are used to denigrate the NHS and drive it to it's knees come from the insurance companies and ad-hoc medical services providers via their lobbyists, sweetened by
donations
.
