Jeremy Hunt is the most non-politician politician I have ever seen. He has that hapless air of near permanent bewilderment. Yet he has risen to the very top in one of the nations most demanding departments. Is it a case of...nice guy comes good..or bewildered doormat wakes up to find himself in top slot...who can tell anymore?
Say you were in a jumbo jet flying across the atlantic and both pilots were struck down by food poisoning and you called round the cabin asking for volunteers to fly the plane. In the resultant melee young Hunt puts up his hand and steps forward. Would you feel safe giving the controls to him....or would you long for Arnold Swarzennegger!?
Whatever the case anyway he certainly has the ear of the Prime Minister.
