    Fairness is a great concept but very woolly. Equality is also a great thing to strive for; but as we are all different we can never all be truly equal and there will always be those who are 'more equal than others'. Equality of opportunity is the best we can hope for; equality of outcome is only possible in N Korea. Equality of opportunity is based on universal, free, compulsory education, and universal healthcare.
