There does seem to be a real resistance to people with expertise on this thread, and no I am not talking about me - not claiming any great insights, just a bit of work experience. I refer really to the original misunderstanding about risk assessments that spiralled into a somewhat surreal event. Some people simply did not understand what they were for, and why should they? We all have our own areas of expertise. But because there was a misunderstanding about their purpose those people - who had latched onto the risk ax as possible evidence of sharp practice although they are nothing of the sort - were vitriolic about people who tried to explain them. I think that is how some of the threads - and indeed some posters - behave. If something that has been identified, rightly or wrongly, as evidence to support a particular view is then opened to scrutiny and found wanting, there is a venom-packed response. It is doing the exact opposite of what Keith seems to want and I would support - an open conversation with differing views. I know I have learned a great deal in that way on this forum, but the aggressive way some threads develop does not support that. I expect I am also in that loop!
