  Barry is correct on a very narrow socio-economic basis in that is is a matter for a companies shareholders
  
  However, there is a wider moral and ethical spectrum that Barry and his ilk on the right ignore at their peril. Any society that stokes up resentment on the scale that is being stoked here and the States by the "have a hell of a lots" telling the rest of us that "we are all in this together" or other asinine platitudes whilst they feather their own nests is stacking up trouble for the future.
