With regard to your comment about the Tories maybe they do not feel the need to door knock in this internet age, as an example they send me an email nearly every week even though I did not request this service.
I do not actively support any particular party preferring whoever I think will represent my views and needs at election time. At the moment I feel nearly all politicians from the very top to the bottom most rung are a self serving insular bunch putting their own ego and needs before everything, luckily their are a few exceptions. The big problem is that nothing I have read on here recently is likely to change that opinion.
Perhaps I didn’t express myself clearly enough, I did not say that we only knock on the doors of supporters, clearly that would not be a good strategy. We try to reach as many constituents as possible to inform them what we stand for and who their candidates are. As for alienating people, I was referring to those on social media (not necessarily Labour supporters or Members) who constantly pick holes in the local political parties but are unwilling to actually get out there and campaign or stand as a candidate.
