Like Jan no matter what party it should be the best person for the job, not just because your a woman!

If labour has to have discrimination to push Women it shows how out of date labour is in accepting everyone into the fold of the party.

We will see how many engage with the community after the election and not just at election time.
the community is as iv said before today aware of cllrs/candidates who live/work in the ward.
And those that have worked with the community assoc And those that have worked against it.
Thankfully that guy isn't standing this time round, although he probably wouldn't have got in anyway.

The cawca committee threw open an invite to all cllrs in the ward to give views on what they felt they wanted or could do for the ward.

    Most had a vision.
    but a few didn't.

we had to remind one to turn up !!! as we waited for her!!

and 2 didn't respond which we can only assume they have no interest in the community assoc.

Clarendon place is well known by anyone living in the ward (and probably outside it) but one didn't know where it was !!!

Without doubt few will argue that we have rarely seen the elected cllrs from DTC or DDC and with the ward becoming even bigger we are even more unlikely to see them(like now though we will see more of them at election time).

I think a lot of people are just not going to vote
or vote for one of the smaller parties/individuals.
