I take handles like Socialist and Democratic with a pinch of salt, normally dictatorships use them as a cover. We had the German Democratic republic that shot people who tried to leave the paradise. The Libyan Socialist jahamiria under that nice General Gaddafi plus umpteen African countries that have Democratic in the title but tribal rule.
