Roger, you have been elected, uncontested, to Dover Town council so you will still be in a position to help people, particularly local community groups. Each councillor gets a sum of money to allocate to local community groups. As a town councillor, over recent years, I, along with fellow town councillors, have helped several groups in Tower Hamlets, e.g. Grants to local nursery, drama, music groups, local residents forum for a Community Engagement Day, assistance with setting up an allocation association. Quite often funding shared with fellow councillors so can really make a difference. Sure you know which groups there are in PEVm that will benefit.
