I am surprised Charlie hasn't got even the most junior of junior Ministerial positions. Particularly so given his increased profile of recent days and near photo bombing of PMs past and present!

Two ways of looking at it, I guess, the first being that May is dishing out all sorts of Brexit jobs to keep the Members happy - and in a sense, giving responsibility for those who want it to go and get it. Smart. As such, Boris is a risky appointment but I notice that many key responsibilities were shifted out of the FCO immediately before his appointment, and the civil servants will do all the work, so all he needs to do is stick to his brief......

The second way of looking at it is that this reshuffle gets her settled, and some more key supporters will get positions next time around.
