  Two very different issues Reg, both before my time here but going from what I have read and heard from people the White Cliffs Experience that was loved by all who visited and it won various design awards. Unfortunately it became a party political football and we know how that always ends.
  
  The WCE was created from nothing so highly expensive whilst the Roman Painted House was a gift that just needed something added to make it a tourism magnet. DD.C would have brought in an expert in that field. On my one visit there it came across as interesting to scholars like Mr Philp but drab and uninviting to the general public
