Re post 206; here in Tower Hamlets we have had had a successful Forum for a number of years, hold community engagement days , litter pick event, regular meetings with speakers. Tonight we had a meeting with DDC talking about enviro crime and NHS health trainers. As elected councillor since 2011 I have been pleased to be involved with activities of Forum. It is a community with us all working together to make the area ok to live in. Yes Cllr Glayzer did arrange for a certain area to be cleaned and painted but other work does go on. He was not involved in the litter pick that Forum organised. Not fair to say " has little assistance" and sure he would agree. This is ward that has a strong sense of community, our two, local community facilities, Curzon Hall and Rowellan Hall are both used all the time by community groups. Both DDC councillors live in the ward ( I have been here 32 years)
The successful social event referred to was in fact organised by the newly organised Tower Hamlets Community Forum which has a different focus to the original Forum. We will be working on some projects together ( e.g, Christmas Lights competition) might seem strange to have two Forums but that is their choice.
