This is the reason that the Dover Town Council will increase in relevance in the future:

If and when this comes to fruition DTC may emerge as the only truly Dover orientated body that is democratically elected.It could act as a mechanism to make sure that Dover's interests do not become to obscured within the makeup of an East Kent super council.It needs to be a vibrant and dynamic body if we are not going to let our voices be drowned out.
