But we see in Dover when the lib dems were a little more active they managed to win 6 seats on DDC but as always they couldn't sustain it.
Worse after 100 years of tory rule on DDC with a hung council the lib dems were happy to keep the tories in office.
Lab had to contact the lib dems national party to convince them to get the local leader to change his mind which worked.
but they were so unreliable in a pct with lab iv served in two hung administrations with the lib dems both at county and DDC
neither worked
You would reach agreement only for them to come back at last minute withdrawing support
the pact was never going to last.
at District none of the 6 wanted to chair a meting (funnily enough that included our sue at the time) none of them wanted prominent positions.
so really always been just a protest party
most youngsters since last general election won't trust what they say
