Not at all. The premise of the video is really very simple. In 2016 we were told that, if we chose to remain in the EU, then the NHS will be a depressing, struggling organisation.
Cue images of distressed grannies (real ones
), downcast and overworked staff. A truly dystopian prospect.
But should we opt to leave, then the images paint a totally different story. Our lovable granny is smiling and contented. The nurses, free from all stress and brimming with job satisfaction, walk her through the hospital doors into the arms of her grateful loved ones.
A prediction which we now know to be complete bo**ocks. You can argue 'til your blue in the face about the cause of the NHS's current malaise but the video has turned out to be the blatant misdirection that most people with half a brain thought it would.
Never mind. I guess some grannies never heeded Mark Twain's words of wisdom - "Better keep silent and have the world regard you a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Logical and definitely not a fallacy.
