    OK, let's get KM's funny out of the way first: "No-deal Brexit could cost Port of Dover £1 billion a week". Nope, that's not what Mr Bannister said and if you pause for just a mo', you'll realise that the Port does not make c£52bn a year.

    Curiously, DHB's own press release makes no mention of the port taking "a substantial financial hit if no agreement had been reached by the October 31 deadline".

    What is true, is that a significant downturn in traffic caused by defections to other routes or by a reduction in trade with the EU will put a squeeze on DWDR financing and the Community Fund.
