  I would take more interest in the latest scare if it said what important foodstuffs might be in short supply. I do not consider things like tasteless Spanish strawberries or similar delights to be important.
  
  Medicines keep being mentioned surely these should be no problem if orders are placed at the correct time rather than last minute, they should not deteriorate past use by date, even if on a lorry for an extra couple of days.
  
  I wonder if such silly predictions were drawn up when we or Europe had problems in the past or did common sense prevail.
