Democracy at work?
Parliament was suspended, or prorogued the other day,
MP’s were furious and acted childishly, for their own way,
They grabbed hold of the Speaker by the leg I heard tell,
As the children ruining this country wanted the UK to sell.
England’s courts refused to give them back their toys,
So to Scotland they travelled making a heck of a noise,
Scotland’s Court of Session the verdict then changed,
After the anti’s lodged an appeal which was speedily arranged.
Today’s verdict was that Boris and the Queen were both wrong,
The conundrum now posed......is the English anthem our song?
It could be the Welsh or the Scottish one too; if there’s a purge on,
Maybe a change of Prime Minister, could it be Nicola Sturgeon?
I suggested the Scottish First Minister as she has all the Grouse,
But after the Grouse season ends she’ll have time for The House!
She could sort out the UK Parliament with her incessant dialogue,
Change everything to fail her way and let the tail wag the dog!
The saga of Brexit seems to be never ending, all started by Dave,
The final outcome not obvious now, except no face will we save,
This folly Cameron produced with his pointless referendum skit,
Will eventually leave a divided country in a great heap of....Brit.
