    So Boris is, of course, rolling the pitch to avoid blame. You'll note recently that the EU is to blame for being unreasonable in not reopening the Withdrawal Agreement, and the UK Parliament is to blame for the EU taking that approach.

    I come back to the question I posed some days ago now - given that the Government seems to take the view that as long as it can point the finger of blame at the EU, everything will be fine. So, given Dover is the front line - how true is that? ***IF*** there is gridlock in Dover for months after any no deal, are people likely to think "Oh well, it has taken me an hour to get from Elms Vale to Tesco, and there is no food on the shelves when I get there, but not to worry - it's the EU's fault". That literally seems to be the Government strategy. Interested to see how it flies...
