There are some points to be admired with Corbyn despite the vilification of the vast majority of the national media. Taking the national grid and water back into state control being 2 of them. That said, this country will never in my view be prepared to elect a Corbyn led government. Dover is a good example of why. The same voters who put their faith in Prosser will never take the leap that far left.

Despite today's announcement, the Labour position is still equivocal. Those with vision to see what harm a hard Brexit will do the country have virtually all given up in despair. Somehow they will have to find what little solace they can from the Lib Dems and Greens. Incidentally, did anyone hear John Major's interview on the World Service Hard Talk programme this week? To say he was excoriating in his criticism of the state of the Tory party would be an understatement.

This country is now polarised so far between hard right and hard left that I wonder of common sense will ever prevail again in my lifetime.
