  You appear to be missing the point Bob, Macron would have loved to have facilitated a no deal exit simply because he could then deflect criticism of his leadership by blaming us for the gridlock in Northern France and the ensuing chaos elsewhere in the country. He wouldn't have kept the talks going into the early hours upsetting the rest otherwise.
